Michelle Branch and JoJo Concert Live in Manila and Cebu 2012

Two of the great female artists of this generation, Michelle Branch and Jojo will be performing live for fans for the first time in Manila and Cebu this coming June 2012.

Michelle Branch was known for her top-sellers “The Spirit Room” which contains her hit songs “Everywhere,” “All You Wanted” and “Goodbye to You”. She won a Grammy for “Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals” for “The Game of Love” with Santana.

On the other hand, JoJo was known for her hits “Leave (Get Out)”, “Baby It’s You” feat. rapper Bow Wow and “Not That Kinda Girl” which are all chart-toppers.

Hanson Concert 2012 Live in Manila and Cebu

American pop rock band Hanson will be having a concert in Manila and Cebu, Philippines.

Their concert in Manila will be held on March 30, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum while their concert in Cebu will be on March 31, 2012 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

AJ ‘Bazooka’ Banal (26W-1L-1D, 17 KO’s) of Ermita, Cebu City will defend his WBO Asia-Pacific bantamweight title against Raul Hidalgo (15W-5L, 11 KO’s) of Mexico this March 24, 2012.

Dubbed as "PINOY PRIDE XIII: Road to Glory" will be at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.

Brian McKnight Concert in Live Manila and Cebu

American singer-songwriter Brian McKnight will be having a concert in Manila and Cebu, Philippines.

It will be held on March 16 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and on March 17 at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City. Dubbed as “Back with Brian McKnight,” it will feature a special performance by Angeline Quinto.

McKnight popularized hit songs such as “One Last Cry,” “6, 8, 12,” “Back at One,” among others.

Magnitude 6.8 quake jolts Negros-Cebu

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit the Negros-Cebu region, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The following intensities were felt in the following areas:

Intensity VII - Dumaguete City
Intensity VI - La Carlota City and La Castellana, Negros Occidental
Intensity V - Roxas City; Dao and Ivisan, Capiz; Iloilo City
Intensity IV - San Jose de Buenavista and Pandan Antique; Ayungon, Negros Oriental; Kalibo, Aklan; Sagay, Negros Occidental; Dipolog City
Intensity III - Butuan City, Agusan del Norte; Legaspi City, Albay; Carmen, Cagayan de Oro
Intensity II - Cabid-an, Sorsogon

 Initial information from the agency said the quake occurred at 11:49 a.m. in the following epicenters:

70 kms (44 miles) north from Dumaguete, Negros
79 kms (49 miles) west northwest from Tagbilaran, Bohol
80 kms (50 miles) south southeast from Bacolod, Negros
574 kms (356 miles) south southeast from Manila

The agency said the earthquake had a depth of 46.6 kms.

Cebu Sinulog Festival 2012 Schedule

Sinulog Festival is held every third week in Cebu as thanksgiving to its patron, Senor Santo Nino, or the Holy Infant Jesus. numberous activities are lined up during the festivities including the 9-day novena at the Basilica Minode del Santo Nino de Cebu, the fluvial procession and the foot procession, the nightly variety shows, the search for Miss Cebu, and of course the streetdance parade that lasts from morning til night.
