PBA Governor's Cup 2012

The 2012 PBA Governors Cup is scheduled to start on May 20, 2012. The tournament will be again reinforced by import with a height limit of 6-foot-5.

As of posting time, here are the list of imports for the  PBA Governor's Cup 2012.

Rashad McCants, a certified solid player is the Powerade Tigers import. Returnees Jason Forte (Alaska Milk), Tim Pickett (Meralco) and Paul Harris (Talk n Text) are among those others confirmed.

Also in the list are Cedric Bozeman for Ginebra, Marqus Blakely for B-Meg, Zach Graham for Air21 and Jamelle Cornley for Rain or Shine and Eddie Basden for Petron.

PBA All-Star 2012 in Laoag

The PBA All-Star 2012 will be held from May 10 to 13, 2012 at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena, Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

The event will highlight the RSJ vs Veterans, and will also feature a legends challenge where former PBA superstars will play alongside some of today’s best.

The veterans, to be coached by Tropang Texters head coach Chot Reyes, will battle the Rookies-Sophomores-Juniors squad of coach Bo Perasol of Powerade.

Voted as starters for the Veterans squad were B-MEG’s James Yap, Marc Pingris and JC Intal, Barangay Ginebra’s Mark Caguioa and Arwind Santos of Petron Blaze.

Aside from Alapag, chosen as reserves for the Veterans team were his teammate Kelly Williams, Gabe Norwood of Rain or Shine, Alex Cabagnot of Petron, Gary David of the Tigers and Alaska’s LA Tenorio and Sonny Thoss.

The RSJ starters were JVee Casio and Marcio Lassiter of Powerade, Chris Lutz of the Boosters, Josh Urbiztondo of the Llamados and Ginebra forward Dylan Ababou.

Reserves for the RSJ five were Rain or Shine sensation Paul Lee, Talk ‘N Text’s high-leaping forward Japeth Aguilar, the Aces’ Mac Baracael, Mark Barroca of B-MEG, Boosters center Rabeh Al-Hussaini, Chris Ross of Meralco and Kings forward Rico Maierhofer.

Patrimonio, Caidic, Lastimosa, Magsanoc will lead for All-Star legends game.

Denzel Bowles is Best Import, and Mark Caguioa is the Best Player of the Conference during the PBA Awarding last Sunday April 29, 2012.

Denzel Bowles topped other candidate such as Harvey, Vroman, and Freeman. While Mark Caguioa topped other candites such as Gary David, Marcio Lassiter, LA Tenorio and Cyrus Baguio.
