The wedding was attended by their friends and well-known personalities in the world of entertainment, news and politics. Among those spotted in the star-studded wedding event were Richard Gomez and wife Lucy Torres-Gomez, Mariel Rodriguez, TV5 bosses Bobby Barreiro and Jude Sta. Ana, Karen Davila, Valenzuela Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian and Ronald Singson.

Among the 22 “Ninongs” and “Ninangs” are Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Albert del Rosario, former House Representative Cynthia Villar, TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan, businessmen Ramon Ang and Ben Chan.

Jun Cabangon was the Best man, while Joy Marie Castellvi, Soledad's childhood friend was the Matron of Honor.

According to reports, the couple took the advised of a feng shui expert who recommended that January will bring good luck to the family that they are about to create.

"Instead of February 2012 as reported in a scoop in the Life section of (The Philippine Star), the wedding of Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad and Pasig City Rep. Roman Romulo has been reset to January 22, 2012 upon the advice of a feng shui expert." Ricky Lo, a showbiz columnist confirmed the news.
