The MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) organizing committee through its executive chairman, MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino has released the Official Total Gross (box-office results) of the 7 movies that were shown from December 25, 2011 to January 7, 2012.

2011 MMFF Awards Night Result and Winners

The 2011 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal is currently held at the Resorts World Performing Arts Theater. The awards presentation will be hosted by Ai-Ai de las Alas and Cesar Montano.

YESTERDAY. TODAY amd TOMORROW by Studio 5 and Regal Films entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2011 has been disqualified. Via unanimous vote by the MMFF executive committee for violating the festival’s rules. Chairman Francis Tolentino of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the final version of ‘Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow’ was different from the script approved by the committee.

“After the script was approved, iba yung lumabas, iba yung cast [what was shown was different, even the cast was different]. Pareho lang yung title [Only the title was the same],” Tolentino said when interviewed by Radyo Inquirer.

YTT are disqualified in Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay at Gatpuno Villegas Cultural awards category.

The Asiong Salonga Story is an official entry of the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival. Produced by Scenema Concept International (released through Viva Films) and under the direction of Tikoy Aguiluz, the film stars Jeorge "E.R." Estregan in the title role, with Carla Abellana and Phillip Salvador.

"Manila Kingpin" is based on the story of the notorious gang leader in Tondo named Nicasio "Asiong" Salonga, whose true-to-life accounts had been portrayed in several movie versions since 1961 (starring Joseph Estrada). It is also the the first Filipino major film produced in black-and-white in the 21st century as well as the returning action genre movie.

37th Metro Manila Film Festival MMFF 2011 Parade of Stars

The 37th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2011) is the annual film festival in Manila that was held from December 25, 2011 until the first week of January 2012. During the festival, no foreign films are shown in Philippine theaters in order to showcase locally produced films.

December 24 2011 is the Filmfest Parade of Stars. The event will start with a lunch at the Esplanade for the participants — as sponsored by SMDC. At 2 p.m. the stars will get on their respective floats and the parade will begin at the back of Mall of Asia. The route will take it to EDSA and turn left at Roxas Boulevard and go straight to the Quirino Grandstand at the Luneta, where there will be a variety program.

Fans flocked to the streets to take pictures/photos or videos of their favorite stars in the highly anticipated Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2011 parade of the stars.


The parade started at 2PM at the One Esplanade, SM Mall of Asia. It passed through Roxas Boulevard straight to the Quirino Grandstand where there will be an entertainment show. Stars of “Enteng ng Ina Mo,” “Panday 2,” “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow,” “Shake Rattle and Roll 13,” “My House Husband,” and “Asiong Salonga” took part in the said event. The said MMFF entries or movies are set to premiere tomorrow, December 25, Christmas Day in theaters nationwide.
