Bb Pilipinas 2012 Winners and Result

A 22-year old pharmacy graduate student from the University of Sto. Tomas won the most coveted title in the Bb. Pilipinas pageant – the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe.

Ms. Janine Tugonon bested the 30 candidates vying for the crown as she won the 2012 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe title during the Grand Coronation Night on Sunday, April 15, at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum. Tugonon was last years Bb. Pilipinas 1st Runner Up. Previously, she was crowned as Ms. Pharmacy 2009 and Ms. UST 2010.

Tugonon will represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2012 in December. Venue to be announced.

28th PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2012 Winners

The winners for the 28th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies were named (highlighted) on Wednesday during the Awards Night held at the Meralco Theater, hosted by Sarah Geronimo, KC Concepcion and Derek Ramsay.

Asiong Salonga, which was a big winner during the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) won most of the trophies, while Star Cinema’s romantic drama In the Name of Love got five.

2011 MMFF Awards Night Result and Winners

The 2011 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal is currently held at the Resorts World Performing Arts Theater. The awards presentation will be hosted by Ai-Ai de las Alas and Cesar Montano.

YESTERDAY. TODAY amd TOMORROW by Studio 5 and Regal Films entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2011 has been disqualified. Via unanimous vote by the MMFF executive committee for violating the festival’s rules. Chairman Francis Tolentino of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the final version of ‘Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow’ was different from the script approved by the committee.

“After the script was approved, iba yung lumabas, iba yung cast [what was shown was different, even the cast was different]. Pareho lang yung title [Only the title was the same],” Tolentino said when interviewed by Radyo Inquirer.

YTT are disqualified in Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay at Gatpuno Villegas Cultural awards category.
