TV5; Kanta Pilipinas Audition Dates, Venues, Requirements and Qualifications

The Mega Star Sharon Cuneta is reported to host the upcoming reality singing competition of TV5 – Kanta Pilipinas. The show is currently on search for the next singing sensations.

The show will chronicle the different stories of many Filipinos aspiring to have their talent be heard. Following their journey, their struggles and their triumphs, we will get to witness their transformation from being regular folks with raw talent to becoming a star.

Below are the audition dates and venues:

* February 24 – SM City Cagayan de Oro
* March 2 – SM City Cebu
* March 10 – SM City Davao
* March 16 – SM City Baguio
* March 23 – SM City Iloilo
* March 30 – SM City North Edsa
* April 20 – SM City Batangas

The audition is open to all Filipinos from 14-30 years old. They can be a solo, duo, or group act (with a maximum of five members) of any genre. Auditionees can download the application form here (PDF File). They are also holding an online audition where you can opt to upload your audition video (maximum of 5-minute YouTube video of your performance).

TV5 Shows for 2012

In a press statement release at the entertainment site, PEP.ph, the Kapatid network will usher the New Year with a formidable line-up of reality programs.

The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippine franchise will soon to air in TV5 to be hosted by Paolo Bediones, Tessa Prieto and model/stylist Divine Lee.

TV5 also has acquired two big reality game shows: The Biggest Game Show in Asia and The Amazing Race Philippines. Fans of The Amazing Race franchise can expect the same level of heart-pumping adventure and thrilling challenges with the all new The Amazing Race Philippines.

The Biggest Game Show in Asia is so-called because teams from our neighboring South East Asian countries – Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia – will be competing with our own Philippine team through games and obstacle courses. It will be hosted by Richard Gomez and Joey de Leon.

To showcase the talents of Filipinos, they will also hold inspiring dance-off competition called Dancing Nation and an audition for a singing search called Kanta Pilipinas.

Finally, intrigue, drama, and titillating characters will surely spice up your viewing experience with Temptation Island: Dare to Win. Focusing on a group of beautiful young men and women marooned in a beautiful island, this show is inspired by Regal Entertainment’s ’80s cult classic Temptation Island.
