Jessica Sanchez: Steal Away American Idol 11 Top 4 Performance Video

Jessica Sanchez had another great performance as the judges up on their feet for a standing ovation as she sang “Steal Away” by Etta James on the American Idol 11 Top 4 show.


Judges Thoughts:

Randy Jackson said “I love the whole vibe of that. She’s 16 and singing Etta James. Your vocals are ridiculous.”

Steven Tyler said “I loved it. You just nailed that.”

Jennifer Lopez said “One of the best I’ve seen in a long time. You’re just one of the best.”

It’s down to 4 Idol hopefuls, which include Filipina-American Jessica Sanchez and for those who like rankings and lists, here are the Top 4 power rankings of WetPaint, Pedro and the Watchers, and Hollywood Gossip:

American Idol 2012 Top 4 Result

18-year-old Skylar Laine of Brandon, Mississippi was sent home after getting the lowest number of votes with nearly 60 million votes cast.



She and Hollie Cavanagh were in the bottom 2. Four idol hopefuls remain — Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, and Hollie Cavanagh.

Only three performance shows are left this season. Next week [Wednesday, May 9 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed)], The Top 4 will sing songs with the theme, “California Dreamin’.”

The next live results show will be on Thursday, May 10 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) where the Top 3 will be known plus performances from Jennifer Lopez and David Cook.

Lopez will perform her new hit song “Dance Again” while Cook will perform “The Last Song I’ll Write For You.”
