Magnitude 6.0 Earthquake Hits Samar

A magnitude 6.0 quake struck some parts of Eastern Visayas on February 4, Saturday. In a report by the US Geological Survey (USGS), the quake was felt at around 9:09 p.m with depth of 60.2 km with the epicenter around 100 kilometres north of the city of Guiuan, Samar.

No major damages were reported yet however the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) continues to monitor its aftermath.

Just recently, a 5.9 magnitude also jolts Eastern Samar with no reported casualties.
