Updates on PhilHealth Cares: List of Accepted Applicants, Schedule of Training, and Date of Deployment

PhilHealth President Dr. Eduardo P. Banzon, early this month, has signed an advisory regarding updates on their nursing deployment program called PhilHealth Customer Assistance, Relations and Empowerment Staff (CARES). The PhilHealth CARES program aimed to employ 600 nurses. Applications started mid-February 2012 and about 23,000 online applicants nationwide have submitted their resumes.

Dr. Banzon said that the PhilHealth CARES nurses will be deployed to All Levels 3 & 4 accredited hospitals and Levels 1 to 2 accredited government hospitals only. The CARES nurses will provide onsite assistance to members, address issues and queries on membership, eligibility & benefits availment and conduct surveys and studies developed by the Corporation.

The Training of Trainors has already been conducted by the Human Resource Department last March 20-22, 2012. Accepted applicants will undergo ten-day Competency Training Program for the PhilHealth CARES which will be conducted simultaneously in the regions from April 16-27, 2012. The deployment of trained PhilHealth CARES will start on May 2, 2012.
