NAIA Terminal Fee reduced to P550 starting February 1 2012

The terminal fee for international flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will be reduced from 750 pesos to 550 pesos starting February 1, 2012.

According to Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager Jose Angel Honrado, the five-year security development program, which added the 200-peso security development charge (SDC) to the terminal fee is set to end by February.

This means that by February 1, passengers will just have to pay the PSC or the Passenger Service Charge, which totals to 550 pesos (100 pesos goes to the national government, 60 pesos goes to the anti-hijacking fund, and 390 pesos is retained by MIAA).

Exempted from paying the terminal fee are OFWs, foreign diplomats, athletes and sports officials, transit passengers, refugees, pilgrims, airline cabin crews and deportees.
