Philippines ranked 8th on the list of world’s friendliest countries

The Philippines ranked 8th on the list of world’s friendliest countries (and 1st among Asian countries) for expatriates according to Expat Explorer Survey conducted by HSBC last year. The findings were based on a total of 3,385 expats.respondents in 100 countries between May and July 2011. The countries were ranked based on four categories: ability to befriend locals, success in learning the local language, capacity for integrating themselves into the community, and ease in which they fit into the new culture.

New Zealand came as the friendliest, followed by Australia, South Africa, Canada and the United States on the 2nd-5th spots, respectively.
