Lim leads mayoral race in Manila, according to partial results

Incumbent Manila mayor Alfredo Lim led the six-candidate mayoral race in Manila, based on partial and unofficial results of canvassing conducted by the Commission on Elections on Monday night.

Lim got 252,889 votes from 899 precincts (62.38 of total precincts) that were so far able to transmit election returns to the city board of canvassers inside the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

Coming in at second place is Lim's former vice mayor and three-time Manila mayor Jose "Lito" Atienza with 112,129 votes.

Former Philippine National Police chief Director General Avelino Razon landed on the third spot with 55,909 votes.

The partial and unofficial results were released to the public after the transmission of election returns for all 1,441 precincts in Manila breached 60 percent.
