Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Manny Villar has decided to return to his birthplace in Tondo for his miting de avance ahead of the May 10 elections.
And to prove that Villar is still in the running, thousands of people came out on Thursday night to attend his and his team's miting de avance at the Manila Harbour Centre, Radial Road 10 in Vitas.
The event began at exactly 7:00 p.m. with a song number from comedian-singer Joy Viado.
"It's our last rally, we're expecting a full show of force," NP spokesman and senatorial bet Gilbert Remulla told reporters.
"All the candidates, all the supporters will be coming here," Remulla said, "We expect a lot of people to really encourage and motivate our troops and to show them that we are very well much in contention in this race."
It was also in this city where the NP held its proclamation rally last February.
